Computing

Computing at Crockham Hill:

Subject Leader: Mrs S Manson

Link Governor: Mr C Sadler

Vision:

At Crockham Hill CE Primary School, our computing curriculum is designed to ensure that all pupils become confident, informed and responsible computational thinkers. Pupils study six progressive units each year, which cover the three core strands of the National Curriculum for computing: computer science, information technology and digital literacy.

Online safety is explicitly taught and embedded across all units, enabling pupils to understand how to use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly. The curriculum equips children with the essential skills and knowledge to use a wide range of software and digital tools effectively, and to recognise and respond appropriately to situations where they may feel unsafe online.

As a result, pupils leave Crockham Hill CE Primary School with the confidence, understanding and resilience required to use technology purposefully and safely in an ever-evolving digital world.
