Netball v Weald
Wed 27 Feb 2019On Tuesday 26th February 2019 we played a talented Weald team who displayed some great netball skills. It was a tight beginning with both teams having good chances. Eventually, we took control and by half-time had raced into a seven to two advantage.
However, the second half was very tight and in the fourth quarter Weald came on strong. Despite tiring towards the end we had played another great game and managed another victory.
Final score 14-9.
Targets
- Keeping our composure
- Marking tighter
Thanks to our parents for supporting and Mr Jervis for coaching us (and the biscuits!)

Children from Years 3 and 4 took part in a competitive inter-house hockey tournament but it was played in a very sporting manner. All the children tried really hard and were supported and coached by their respective House Captains. Congratulations to Red House who were the worthy champions.

New School Lunch menu launched after half term!
Fri 15 Feb 2019The new lunch menu has been rejuvenated. We are glad to see it keeps some of the tried and tested favourites like the roast dinner and Fish and chips. New next term will be the Pasta bar and a Courgette and Lime cake. We are really lucky that our cook enjoys creating her own additions such as the Sprinkle Station and offering fresh fruit, yoghurt and jelly every day in addition to the daily bake. -
Football Crockham Hill V Chiddingstone 12/2/19
Fri 15 Feb 2019The team made an excellent start controlling the game and had several near misses. Despite the excellent play and much of the possession, we went into half – time with a slender one nil lead.
In the second half, with the slope in our favour, we mounted attack after attack. Eventually, after some close attempts we doubled our advantage. Our fitness told in the last ten minutes and the match ended with us comfortable four nil winners.
Thank you to all our supporters and to Mr Jervis for coaching us.

Leading Lights Year 6 Worship
Fri 15 Feb 2019Our Leading Lights group planned and led a wonderful worship today based around the theme of worry and how sharing our worries can help us feel better.
They introduced the Worry-Eater who will be in school next term sitting on the bench in the corridor outside the library. If children have any worries they can write it down or draw a picture and then pop the piece of paper in the Worry-Eater's tummy for him to munch it up and get rid of it!
Thank you and well done to the Year 6s and Mrs Lakin-Hall for supporting them.

Phoenix Class Assembly
Thu 07 Feb 2019On Wednesday 30th January, Phoenix Class shared their learning about Africa with parents, pupils and staff. What an exciting presentation they gave us!
They covered so many skills; from the rhythmic drumming on the djembe drums, with many individuals taking the lead with their own rhythms, to the fabulous finale of African dancing performed with confidence and ‘gusto’.
The children also provided the context of their learning sharing facts and information they have learned about the African continent.
Thank you so much Phoenix Class and to Mrs Rose, Mrs Choubandi, Mr Irving and Mrs Irving for the help and support provided in lessons..

Netball v Leigh
Tue 05 Feb 2019Crockham Hill 14 - Leigh 2
On Tuesday 5th February 2019 we played netball against Leigh Primary School.
In the first quarter we missed some shots and the score ended up 1 all. We needed to up our game! We held possession for most of the match and gradually got stronger and produced more accurate shooting. The final score was 14-2..
Next time we need to take our time shooting and move into unoccupied spaces .This match was more of a challenge than the last three.
