  • Year 6 settled in Dorset

    Wed 23 Jun 2021

Everyone was SO excited when Year 6 set off on their luxury Premiere Travel coach to Dorset.

They arrived safely and weathered the rain! Day 1 of activities was Bushcraft followed by the Water park. They had a blast and the sun came out eventually.

The children had to be woken up this morning - presumably exhausted after yesterday's activities. It's a lovely sunny morning and they are preparing for  kayaking and mackerel fishing.

  • I have a dream ...

    Thu 13 May 2021

We thought you might like to read Aneira's poem.

Inspired by Martin Luther King - what sentiments she expresses!

  • Creative Arts Day

    Thu 13 May 2021

Mrs Hutchinson has put together a few photos from our Creative Arts Day.

Thank you to the PTA for contributing to the costs so that we could provide the Drama workshops and all the lovely materials.

I know the children really enjoyed it and you can see for yourselves the calibre of arts and crafts they created.

Thank you again to Mrs Hutchinson for masterminding the day and for all her hard work to make the day run so smoothly for everyone.

  • Help raise money for the PTA by recycling unwanted clothes - Collection on Thursday 29th April

    Thu 15 Apr 2021

    Dear all,

Just a few more days of the holiday left for a spot of spring cleaning and sorting!

The PTA has planned a clothes recycling collection to raise funds for our 'New books for the school' project. We have chosen to use Kids Just Recycle because as well as earning money for our school we will also be helping people less well off than ourselves. We are also going to spend some time in school talking about the importance of recycling clothing to reduce environmental damage.

By recycling we can help keep unwanted clothes away from landfill and provide an affordable way to get clothing to families in poorer parts of the world such as Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. Not all of the textiles go abroad, some will stay in the UK as they work with homeless charities and the Samaritans, which is why they have expanded their list and now include nappies and soft toys.

So, we need your old clothes etc and we will earn money by the weight of materials we collect.

    What you can donate?

    · Pre loved clothing (not school or work uniform with logos)

    · Bed linen

    · Towels

    · Pairs of shoes - in good condition only please

    · Sleeping bags

    · Bags and belts

    · Curtains (not ripped or badly sun bleached)

    · Packs of nappies (any size, can be opened packs)

    · Yarn for knitting

    · Cuddly toys/ teddy bears

    What can’t be donated?

    · Duvets and pillows

    · Clothing with school logo or work logos.

    · Footwear or accessories that show any heavy signs of damage or stains.

    · Any items that are originally sold as a pair such as footwear and gloves MUST be sent as a pair.

    · Cushion Covers and Blankets

Please bag up your unwanted items and bring them to school on the morning of Thursday 29th April. Members of the PTA will be at both drop offs to help unload bags so we keep the drop off moving.

Thanking you in advance for your support.

  • Rev'd Alison becomes Priest--in-Charge of Holy Trinity Church, Crockham Hill

    Fri 05 Mar 2021
On Wednesday 3rd March 2021, Bishop James of Rochester led a service to licence Reverend Alison Cooper to be Priest-in-Charge of Holy Trinity Church Crockham Hill. The service (via Zoom) was joined by many members of the congregation, members of the Diocese of Rochester and Mrs Ingman and some of the governors represented  the school. We are thrilled to have a new Vicar just for when we come back to school and we look forward to Rev'd Alison's guidance and support.
  • Calling all those who love to draw and colour. Your help is needed!

    Wed 24 Feb 2021

From Vicky Jones (a mum of children in school)

Last year, we received drawings and artwork, poems, photos, videos and even songs from children across Kent and Medway. These really boosted the morale of our colleagues and showed your support to our NHS heroes. 🥰🥰 Ideally, anything on paper needs to be A4 size please, so we can laminate them.

We would love it if you can send us more of your artwork to put up around our sites to show your support for our colleagues. We also want to display these at our COVID-19 vaccination centres for everyone to see when they come to have their vaccine. 🌟🌈💙

If you'd like to get involved, please send any creations to us by email to kchft.comms@nhs.net and we'll share them on our social media channels, on our sites and with our teams across the county, or you can post any artwork to us:

Communications Team, Trinity House, 110-120 Upper Pemberton, Eureka Park, Kennington, Ashford, Kent, TN25 4AZ.

    Many thanks

  • PTA Online Donation facility now available

    Tue 23 Feb 2021

Mrs Lewis, our PTA Treasurer, has persevered and finally we now have the ability to receive online donations. We haven't been able to run any fund raising events this year and so we have created this facility in case you would like to make a donation. You can pay a one off amount or set up a monthly amount. Money raised by the PTA goes towards buying extra items and activities for the children which are so gratefully enjoyed by all the children in the school.

The Donation button is at the bottom of the PTA page on the Parent tab on the website.

    Thanking you in advance.

  • End of Term 3

    Fri 12 Feb 2021

Well ... we made it! With several unexpected hurdles along the way we have made it to the end of term! In true Crockham Hill style everyone has pulled together to make it work. The children continued to challenge themselves with their learning and excel themselves using Seesaw; we added Zoom lessons to the repetoire of remote learning; staff have taken bi-weekly Covid 19 tests so we knew we were keeping everyone safe; parents continued to support their children at home; staff braved the icy conditions to come in to school so that we could remain open for those needing to work; and the children got to enjoy snowtime both at home and at school!

Thank you for all the positive messages of thanks to our wonderful staff.

Wishing everyone a restful holiday. Stay safe.

    Best wishes,

    Mrs Ingman

  • Monday 8th February - We are open

    Mon 08 Feb 2021

We have managed to remain open for a small number of children whose parents need support so they can continue to provide vital services. Thank you to those of you who kept your children at home today so that we could offer places to a limited number of children.

Thank you to those staff who managed to make it in to school. I know it was impossible for others because of the icy conditions and as we work as a team we have enough adults to support in school whilst others will still be able to support children remotely.
