Their Adventure Begins!

Off We Go! Year 6 Head Off on Their Cumulus Adventure πŸŒŠβ›ΊπŸŒž

This morning was filled with excitement (and a few nerves!) as our Year 6 pupils set off on their much-anticipated residential trip to Cumulus Outdoors in beautiful Swanage, Dorset.

Armed with backpacks, sleeping bags, and plenty of snacks, the children were buzzing with energy as they boarded the coach, waving cheerful goodbyes to the rest of the school. For many, this is the longest they’ll have spent away from home, and it marks a big step toward independence and the end of their primary school journey.

The week ahead promises a packed schedule of outdoor adventures and team challenges — from kayaking to bushcraft, mackerel fishing, and beach games. Set close to the Jurassic Coast, Cumulus provides the perfect setting for learning new skills, building resilience, and strengthening friendships, all while soaking up the sea air.

It’s not just about the activities — the residential also gives our pupils valuable time to develop confidence, teamwork, and self-belief, and of course, to make memories that will last long after the tents have been packed away.

We’ll be updating parents throughout the week with photos and highlights as the adventure unfolds. Be sure to keep an eye on SeeSaw for snapshots of the fun.

A huge thank you to the staff team accompanying the children — your support, energy, and enthusiasm are what make trips like this so special.

Wishing Year 6 an amazing week full of laughter, challenge, and discovery. Go and make the most of every moment — we can’t wait to hear all about it!
