STEM Day at Crockham Hill Primary School

Crockham Hill Primary School was buzzing with excitement during our recent STEM Day, where pupils explored science, technology, engineering and maths through a range of hands-on challenges.

Children worked in their mixed-age house teams, giving older pupils the chance to lead while younger children shared ideas and enthusiasm. Throughout the day, teams tackled maths problem-solving challenges, designed and tested parachutes to learn about forces, created Lego stop-motion films and built structures that were tested against “strong winds” from a hair dryer.

We were also delighted to welcome several parents who work in STEM careers. They spoke to the children about their jobs and how STEM skills are used in the real world, helping to inspire our pupils about future possibilities.

It was a fantastic day filled with teamwork, creativity and curiosity.
