Cross-Country Competition

Week 2: A Sports-Filled Success for Crockham Hill! 🏃♀️🏅🌟
Week 2 was full of energy and excitement at Crockham Hill School, with sports taking centre stage across the week. One of the highlights was a fantastic cross-country event hosted by Hever School, where Mrs Gibson proudly led a team of 24 children from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
The event saw our Year 3 and 4 runners tackling a 1,000m course, while the Year 5 and 6 athletes took on a more demanding 1,500m challenge. With rolling hills, grassy stretches and the ever-changing British weather, the course tested everyone’s stamina and spirit — and our pupils absolutely rose to the occasion.
Every single child gave their very best effort, showing great perseverance and sportsmanship throughout. It was wonderful to see them cross the finish line with determination in their strides and big smiles on their faces — a true testament to their positive attitudes and training.
We’re incredibly proud of all who took part. Whether they were running, cheering each other on, or giving high fives at the end, they represented Crockham Hill with pride, enthusiasm and team spirit.
A huge thank you to Mrs Gibson for organising the event and supporting our runners on the day — and to Hever School for hosting such a well-run and enjoyable competition.
We look forward to more sporting opportunities this term and celebrating the achievements of our young athletes!
