This week, our Leading Lights had the exciting opportunity to lead their very first Collective Worship! The children planned and delivered the session with confidence, sharing thoughtful messages and inspiring their peers.
Our Autumn Term Rocksteady concert was a fantastic celebration of our students’ musical talents! The children performed with confidence, energy, and enthusiasm, showcasing the skills they have developed in their Rocksteady lessons this term.
Our recent Nativity performances by Acorns Class and Bluebells Class brought festive joy to the school hall and put smiles on the faces of all who attended. Parents, families, and friends were treated to two wonderful shows filled with singing, storytelling, and Christmas cheer.
Our annual Christmas Fair, held on Saturday 29th November, was a huge success and brought festive cheer to everyone who attended. Families, friends, and members of the wider community came together to enjoy a joyful afternoon filled with seasonal fun and celebration.
Parents and staff came together for a wonderfully festive wreath-making evening, enjoying a relaxed and creative start to the Christmas season. The event provided a warm and welcoming opportunity for our school community to connect while creating beautiful, handmade wreaths to take home.
Our Year 3 children had a fantastic opportunity to take part in a Gamelan music workshop at Sevenoaks School. Gamelan is a traditional ensemble from Indonesia, featuring beautiful percussion instruments such as gongs, metallophones, and drums. The children learned about the cultural significance of Gamelan music and explored its unique sounds by playing together as an orchestra.
It’s been an exciting first term for sport at Crockham Hill, with our pupils taking part in a range of tournaments and activities that have showcased teamwork, determination, and fantastic sportsmanship.
Our hockey, football, and tag rugby teams have all been out representing the school in competitions against other local schools. Each event has been a brilliant opportunity for pupils to put their skills into practice and enjoy playing as part of a team. There were some close matches, impressive goals, and plenty of smiles all round. Most importantly, every player gave their best effort and showed great respect for their opponents – something we are incredibly proud of.
